I have been trying to identify an engine rattle and think it's the Vac pump, the brakes sometimes loose servo assistance, so checked all the air connectors, they are perished but nothing terrible. Also spotted a post on here about the servo body being cracked. Sure enough there is a crack next to the master cylinder mounting bolts. I think it's new servo time. Any recommendations for servos, was going to go allmakes. hopefully it's going to quieten the vac pump too, if it's not shot with all the work!

Go genuine if you can for parts like that. Not worth it going wrong and having to do it again etc etc..

Replaced a clutch master cylinder with a ****part one it lasted 2weeks,
Replaced with a all makes or equivalent and was about 3months ah think.
Ended up getting genuine and it's lasted few years now still going fine.

Yep, will price them up. Unless I can find a SH one, I guess the cracking is a common problem so it's probably not worth it.
