I have a 1998 defender 90 when I click the fob to set the alarm the indicator lights flash on the dash, but now when I click the fob the indicator lights don't flash but I can hear it clicking also the horn, headlight flash, and interior light does not work now, this has happened before but seemed to cure itself now it's not working again, anybody any ideas as where to look. Thanks Gareth.

If all the sensors aren't correct (ie door switches, bonnet switch, etc) then when you set the alarm it detects this and gives a different response. IIRC I think this warning signal, indicating that all is not right, includes a beep of the horn. So, I would guess that a door isn't closing properly (possibly the bonnet) or, one of your door switches is on the blink.

Indicators not flashing when you are/disarm is the alarms way of telling you that the fob battery (CR2032 IIRC) is getting flat.

Could be disarm only

Have ordered new door switches as they looked a bit corroded ,hope this cures it ,will let you know.
No harm I suppose as they are not very expensive. You could check them manually by seeing what happens to the light when you push them on and off. Remember there is a delay before they go off after switch is pushed in.
