Defender 90 tyres

Hi
It time to change tires, I have Kumo KL 71 235/85/16 fitted for the last 2 years, they are fine but a bit noisy and I don't drive a lot off road but when I do it tends to be very muddy.
I was thinking on Cooper ST and also considering 205's to help fuel economy.
Has anyone tried Cooper ST tires also what the thoughts on going from 235's down to 204's?

I have Cooper stt 265s. Reasoablyt quiet and aid top end gearing. Well recommended

Thanks. I was wondering if the 235 to 205 would be a big difference, tyre dealers today offering 245/70/16's???
