Defender 90 High Beam

Ok, before I start pulling it apart are there any common faults? Everything else seems ok but when I switch the headlights from low to high beam, the lights go off. I've swapped the switch for a spare but no change.

Any ideas?

check simple things fuses.

you say you changed the switch is the spare switch good on mine i could see the burnt / worn out terminal

after that i would suspect relay

I've got the same problem let me know if you sort it easy mate

presume you've checked yours bulbs

Iv got a similar issue.
When I turn the lights to first position, headlights come on
When I turn lights to 2nd position, the lights stay on and nothing gets brighter
When I flick main beam to constant on, nothing happens
When I flash mi main beam they work correctly.

It's boggling my mind!

Yes. Bulbs ok. I will check the relay.
