Has anybody seen a headlining for a Defender 90 going spare recently? I have a hard top converted to a station wagon (nearly) spec. and while it's a great car, it is abit noisy at motorway speeds.
What I want to do is fit some soundproofing (Noisekiller maybe?) and a headlining in the back, but I haven't seen one for sale. Does anyone know f they turn up regularly or rarely please?

Thermawrap Loft Insulation 400mm x 5m - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

This is the sort of thing i used though mine was a lot wider and was given to me by a mate.

You can get it from builders n diy stores too.

Will try to get some pics up tom or next week if you are interested?

So how did you fix everything to the roof and in what order?

I was thinking of this approach:

  1. Remove and clean existing headlining with brush off foam.
  2. Clean underside of roof and dry.
  3. Glue Thermawrap straight to the roof. Would heavy duty carpet glue do the trick?
  4. Using carpet glue, stick the clean lining to the Thermawrap.
What does everyone think of this plan and would it help reduce the condensation?

Carpet glue wont hold. I tried it. Go to tool station or on line for a spray contact glue high temperature Think it was 95F. I used the special underlay for laminate floors Cheap and easy to cut lightweight and good insualation
