I will put this through its MOT before the sale is concluded. So will be MOTed until April 2015.
Carpeted read which has been protected by a rubber mat for the two years I've had it.
A new starter motor was fitted two months ago.
Two X 9V cigarette adapters on dash.
Only done 44,500 miles.
£70 to fill fuel tank
Cheap Insurance - Mine costs £270 fully comp for me and my partner.

The bad:
It's a Defender. This means it's noisy, bouncy, not very smooth to drive and luxury is at a premium. But being a Defender means it's awesome fun to drive, great off-road and in the snow and the most practical vehicle you can own.
Again, being a Defender, and in particular a soft-top means it's hardly the most water-tight of vehicles. But show me a Defender that is?
There's a small scratch on the right hand side of the bonnet which you can see in the photo. This is from when my bonnet was stolen and later dumped in a field. It's now locked to the chassis with a steel cable and padlock.
The dashboard clock doesn't work.
No spare wheel.
Comments:

This is a stunning Defender 90 that I am only selling because I need something with more than 2 seats and would like a bit more luxury. It's reliable and rock solid. The only issues I've had with it in the last two years are the aforementioned starter motor which was replaced 2 months ago. The canvas is showing minor signs of wear on one side and a little on the back but are only noticeable on close inspection. I have tried to be as honest as I can about all of the vehicles flaws but otherwise it's an excellent vehicle. Starts first time every time, has plenty of torque and pulling power and is a real looker.

I have tried and failed to sell this on here before with lots of people making me private offers but not actually placing them against the vehicle itself. Don't ask me how much I want for it, just make me your best offer and I will consider. But please no derisory offers and don't be offended if I decline any.

Payment by bank transfer or cash only and I will not ship outside of the UK.

I am looking to buy a Discovery or a nice estate car next, so am open to swap or part exchange offers.

You say youve got a defender 110 on your profile. You've got 67 posts and already you're selling this in order to buy a disco? Call me cynical but seems a little fishy to me

That's the old 110 that I had before this Wolfie.

Don't post on here very often but wanted to promote my sale on here and spread the word in case anyone had any Discoveries.

Nothing fishy going on, but then I would say that even if something were, wouldn't I? :p

I'm sure there is a history but the minimum 50 post count before you can sell is so that we know we are purchasing an item or vehicle from a known and trusted forum member. You've been here for 2 years yet only have 67 posts so not much of a contribution to the forum or any attempt to get to know individuals. We rely on trust when buying kit from LZ and know that if we have a problem we can go back to the person and have it dealt with (most times). I'm sure you're aware of the usual ones we get joining who try their hardest just to get to 50 posts so that they can then sell their kit then disappear

Oh of course and you have every right to be suspicious. Believe me, I've already been contacted by countless obvious fraudsters through eBay already.

I don't know what else I can do to satisfy your suspicions but if anyone has any questions then fire away and I'll answer as best I can.

You really need to put a guide price so that at least we know what figure you're looking for. Different if seeing the vehicle in the flesh, but one pic from a distance doesn't help. Would you buy a vehicle on the basis of one pic and a description? would you even travel 3 or 4 hundred miles just to have a look? More pics and a guide price would help ;)
