Hi all. Done a search but can’t find the answer. I need to check my heater hoses are connected correctly after changing head gasket. My heater has the two connections at the top of the matrix. Can some one tell me which connection is to head (I.e one closet to bulkhead or one closest to radiator). Cheers

I doubt it will make any difference, so I would say whatever way allows the pipes top run the best/easiest.

Just checked my pic files, and I have had it both ways. heater was crap either way!

Think I read a thread on here about someone getting an airlock in the cooling system due to heater hoses connected wirong way around. Sorted now.

As I am in the process of refitting my engine I need coolant hoses. I have nearly all of the ones for the front of the engine but do not have the heater box hoses yet. What size silicone hose did you use for the ribbed heater hose in your second pic?

No idea that was ages ago, just measure your stubs, most heater hose is 5/8 ID.
I think you can get silicone heater hoses now, back then not sure if they were available.
