Defender 110 tdi300 brake issues! help!

Hi all,

New to the landyzone and landrovers also. Wondered if anyone can help..
I have recently bought a defender 110 on an M plate. I had to replace the brake servo as soon as i got it cos it was split. That did the trick and my brakes were fine, now after a month ish the brake pedal is solid and I have pretty much no braking whatsoever! Can anyone help on this?

Sounds like your vaccuum pump is fecked. Pull the pipe off the servo with the engine running and test for a vaccuum. If there is none present then replace the pump. They are about £70-£80.

yeh was my vacuum pump,managed to get second hand one for 50quid.fitted her and all is good.many thanks
