Ive got a 200tdi from a Disco fitted in my 90 (was like that when i bought it so no idea of age) and i need to replace the exhaust.

Now before i go and buy a Defender 200tdi exhaust i was hoping if any of you fine gentleman know if theres a difference between the exhaust on a Disco and a 90? Disco ones seem to be considerably more expensive so i would much prefer the cheaper option but i dont have a scooby if it would fit.

Many thanks in advance.

You'll need a defender exhaust & maybe weld on the hangers as nothing will be the same.
Mine has a ebay downpipe, a stainless 200tdi defender middle & home made side exit.

Not sure if we have our wires crossed. I have a disco lump in my defender that I need to buy a new exhaust for. Is there any difference in the way that the downpipe connects? I am aware that the turbo is lower down on a disco. My apologies for the layman's terms, I know what I mean just not how to articulate it :).

They won't just bolt on, that's the problems.
Cos your down pipe is in a different place to a Defender.
You'll have to make it fit. You can get a Defender 200tdi exhaust but cut & weld it to how you want it.

So why do disco owners use a defender decat pipe then? Surely that means they fit?
they dont , only 300 tdi engines use the same down pipe ,as engines are the same between vehicles and 300 tdi is fitted forward in defender putting it in same place in chassis as disco hence why front prop s are interchangeable

So im probably looking at having to fabricate a downpipe to fit? Im not sure if the current one will fit a 200 exhaust system, if its in decent enough condition i may just keep it. The current exhaust is a bit of a botch job though and not a very good one.
