Whats available ? without costing more than letting the garage do it for me, of course.
I want a positive pressure bleeder.
Today I broke a new easibleed, they are crap, its falling apart and wont go back together.

I found eezibleed pretty ****e too, using a vacuum pump seems to work well for my s1 but just ordinary gravity bleeding seems to be the best method overall for me anyway.

The problems Ive had include loose fitting bleed nipples that could allow air past the threads, no access to front nipples for a hose - Ive used the finger tip and mess method.
That big bleeder looks just the job. Probably should have bought one years ago.

With the Sealy one you can also get a clamp-on attachment for the master cylinder if it has a non standard sized cap thread. The standard cap it comes with fits the Defender master cylinder though. it helps to have a piece of clear tube to put on the nipples so you can see if there are bubbles coming out.

Yours may be a bit older ?
I suspect the manufacturing quality has been reduced.
Like so much nowadays, any name that was once reliable is now chinese ****. Its impossible to know what one is buying

I bought an eezibleed last year. Connected it up, did a brake fluid change no problems at all. Much easier than using a bleed tube with non return valve to do it single handed.

The pressure bleeder has changed my life. I used to hate bleeding brakes and now I quite enjoy it. A new toy makes a huge difference.

I recon about £15 should cover a pressure bleeder.

£7 for a 3l pump garden spray

£2 for a Chinese motorcycle tank tap bolted to a

£5 brake fluid cap.

A little jubilee clip and your away............. :D

Back in 2013 I bought a Sealey VS820 which I'm pretty pleased with. It has its own pump so you don't have to go letting your tyres down and is a great help. There's a picture here if the link works http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f16/browns-brake-rebuild-thread-220055-2.html. An awful lot of air can hide in a Land Rover brake system and it would take ages just pumping the pedal.

Same here bought one a couple of months ago, got it off ebay for about £40. Standard cap fits 300tdi d1, took about 10mins on my own to totally flush and bleed entire system well built as well looks like it's going to last.

have you done this ? does it work ? does the chinese fuel tap hold pressure ? will the cheapo garden sprayer withstand brake fluid ? will I be binning the lot a year later ?

Not yet....... No idea but the trigger on the pot is designed to............ who cares for six quid it probably wouldnt atomize brake fluid but thats not what you want it for, the rest is made from the same plastics they all are............ You wont even find it next year coz your mates will have borrowed it. If the £40 one has a 12 month guarantee you wont be claiming on it until next year anyway when you use it again and its run out.

If it makes you feel better I'll do you one for £40 plus delivery and paint over the garden sprayer in tippex saying Brake Bleed GXS4000.

;)
