Hi, I have a 2016 D4 that I am paying a LR dealer for a 3 year service plan.

I have reviewed the last video they sent me and the technician details on video what he is about to do. Unfortunately the actual LR service document states a number of things should have been done that were not. Transfer and diff oil for example, taking off wheels to check brakes, none of this was done. Is this usual, or should I have a quiet word with the service manager?

Depends on whats stated on the service plan agreement.
My RR and disco when serviced by a main dealer was done as recommended by LR so intermediate (A) and full service (B) when all fluids and filters and other stuff were changed based on the vehicles mileage at the time.
Intermediate service was just engine oil and filter change, plus just a visual of the rest which is done on both service.
I think I have the A & B the right way round.:)

Pad thickness is the only brake check and is visual and easy to do, when the vehicle is up on the ramp, just like its done visually for an MOT.

With my modern car its into the dealer for an annual service, and the do what is required based on the mileage or year whatever.

According to the attached this is what is supposed to have been done. I wonder how many dealers are doing the minimum and not following the service policy......but charging for it.

I think you will find a lot of it is chargeable extras, ie trans oils etc.

Actually, having looked at the service record for the vehicle it looks like it should have been done. Pretty certain it wasn't.

Well its shows that the wheels will be removed and refitted plus the T box and diff oils are replaced, the drain plugs should show some oily interference much marks on the wheels/ tyres, even if a vehicle was was included in the service.
Air filter? nothing is stated, so not replaced on this particular service, Im wondering if that service schedule is the same for all three years of the plan u have.

You copy of the service schedule should show all the boxes ticked.
Only one scheduled for the service of my Jag, but only the applicable boxes were ticked ie. the polled filter isn’t change every year same with spark plugs or air filter etc, resetting the various electronic gizmos is the same.
All very simple nowadays. :)

Ive never taken out any service plan so just pay the bill for the annual service, or twice a year in my RR days, this vehicle was used every day so easily a 11k miles a year.
Disco once a year for the first five years, now its diy. :)
