Some help with a strange one please guys.
Got new car in today, 2001 4.6 Vogue but the front doors are deadlocked. the rear doors are open and work inside and out. Pressing the open button on either remote doesnt open either. I cannot open the boot either.
I cannot activate the EKA at present but when I open the doors the corners flash.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Hi Andy
Long time since I've seen you on here.
When you press the remote does anything happen or flash, including the remote itself?

Hello Dougie, the remote flashes but nothing happens. If you put the key into the ignition and turn you get the usual messages re engine disabled, press remote etc. Cant see how you are to put an EKA in if the door lock doesnt turn...?

I believe some members on here have shorted the wires at the bottom of the door lock but I guess if the lock is "superlocked" the only was to get to them is tear the door card?

You can remove the door cards without opening the door but it is a pain... just cannot figure out why the bloody things wont release!

Sounds like they have superlocked. There's a method for release on Rangerovers.net involving removing door card, lowering window and smashing off plastic cover where spring is using long screwdriver & hammer. I had this on a front passenger door once. Sometimes it can release after a couple of 'hits' before breaking lock cover. Otherwise you will need new locks. Do drivers side first.

At this moment the becm is ALARMED in a superlocked state.

If the EKA isn't working the becm has gone to full Lockout.

Don't smash anything off yet but try & remove the becm, then give me a shout.

If you can get into the car and lower the drivers door window use a piece of wood as a wedge to move the glass away from the outer door panel (don't overdo it!) and with a torch and with something long and thin you should be able to move the lock actuator over to open the drivers door. No bashing required. The actuator is lower down the door from the door lock.
If so then it indicates that the actuator needs replacing
