dead alternator in Bulgaria

My 300tdi Disco's alternator seems to have stopped working. The light goes out when the engine is revved, but the volts stay the same
Anyone know of where a replacement might be obtained locally?

Voltage is stuck at 12.53v and the tachometer has stopped too.

I need either an exchange or a new alternator.

Found you, it's the south-western corner of Bulgaria, the closest city is Sandanski, about 20 km north of you.
Did you call Chris for a new alternator? I don't have one but can call a couple of people tomorrow for a replacement one. Unfortunately if they send by courier you will get it on wednesday. And try not to flattern your battery.

I spoke to Chris late yesterday, and he said, no problem, I'll wait for confirmation before setting off. Good job we've got a full tank of diesel and no rain! Shame no fridge which means warm beer.

Just keep in mind that in Bulgaria you have to drive with the lights on all the time.

Yeah, so we've decided to stay here and wait for the new alternator to be couriered by Chris. Still it's a lovely day and there is a winery to visit and a mineral water swimming pool just down the road. Plus I can fix the glove box which keeps popping open.
