got my non cat defender downpipes from RJS,finally unpacked em,went to fit on 300 manual with the engine out....and theres no hook for the rubber support half way along.Since theres a fitting on the chassis I would spose that MOT would require it be used and that it needs it anyway.....or is it?
Do I need to weld on a piece oce of bar, quite a big deal for me for various reasons,or what?

Please help (again!) guys

Hi Shocksie, it's not a problem because it's not used !! When I installed mine, the middle box is supported back and front, so that's ok and the light weight of the pipe imo does not need any further support.

The support was used on the original catted pipe because there was a flexy section in the pipe so without this support it would droop.

Cheers & good luck

on closer inspection found that said bracket was attatched to another bolt thru chassis bracket, therefore removeable.....problem solved:)
