Hi guys just a quick one while I sit here waiting for a new fuel pump !
I only have 1 key and its the aftermarket flip, changed battery tried to re-syn and no joy so assume key transponder is shot, yes I am going to get another key asap but at the moment it has to do so I amn ually lock and un-lock the car, my question is I have a dog and when I leave the car is the inside sensor going to be armed when I lock the car with the key in the door lock ? cant remeber the BMW way it use to be ?
I do not want to go out and leave the doors unlocked just because the dogs in the back ! many thanks.

It's not on the P38 but not sure on your car.

It appears that it only arms on superlock;).
I seem to remember that if you leave a window open a little then it wont arm the volumetric sensor;).
Doc is from the manual 2007-2010 so not sure its the same.

I did wonder that mate so if locked by key in lock may not arm ? just sat here bored waiting for a fuel pump as low pressure on the supply rail to filter since changed fuel filter (tried old one no luck) seen lots of threads saying change pump with filter as common so fingers crossed.

The answer is in the L322 owners handbook "Locks & Alarm" section. Pages 23-31.
  • Press button once or lock once using key = superlock & alarm & perimetric protection enabled.
  • Press button twice or lock twice using key = superlock & alarm, but perimetric protection disabled.
Doe not seem to be an option to lock without superlock ?

Yes a tad .

So maybe leaving a window open does not arm the volumetric (which you would do if you had a dog in the car anyway).

If you grab the "All Models" version of RAVE it includes the owners manual, although it does seem to be North American version, so you need to understand left from right !!

Yes he was, massive pedigree full of champions and international champions,I got him as a reject from the police. They rejected him because he couldn't jump in a straight line, years later the vet who x-rayed him told me he had evidence of a broken leg when a pup so he must have favoured the unbroken one . Wonderful temperament taught my son to walk by him hanging on to the choke chain. Once dragged a guy out of a hedge by his leg who ran when I disturbed him trying to steal my car.;):D
