Dashboard cleaner that actually cleans...

Trying to make my 110 a bit more habitable....does anyone know of a dashboard cleaner that can actually cut through the grime and return the dash to something approaching black?? its laughed off normal cockpit cleaner so far

I have had good luck with Armour All multi purpose cleaner. I have tried normal Armour All interior cleaners, glass cleaners and even for the plastic parts i tried washing them in the dish washer with no real joy. It still takes plenty of elbow grease to get the in grained stuff out

I find G101 upholstery cleaner works best.

^^^ What he says G101 - which is a multi surface cleaner that eats body fats (wear gloves).

If you pop down your local pound store, you will see a vivid green bottle of some named 'multi surface' cleaner - same stuff, just more dilute! Will do the job though!

You can also use Autoglyms' interior cleaner which works just as good, but wear a face mask cos it is lethal if you breathe it in!

Spray on, and scrub in with a nail brush, wipe of with a HOT damp cloth.

I find that travis perkins trade wipes work quite well ,get's rid of the crap so you can then put silicone spray on a clean dash to bring back the black.
