Dashboard Add-Ons

Dash top CB, very handy for me:

did have an idea about removing that drivers side vent and turning it into a cb mount, just was concerned with mud splatter through the window that often ends up in that vent

i do not have the standard heater anymore so the dash vents are not connected anyway, hence the switch panel in the centre vents etc

My cbs by my knee like redhands. I'll be miving it up to abive the sunvisor soon as its a nice small unit.

Allo Allo curse my fat thumbs and this touch screen phone

Mine mounted in the map pocket. Had to trim a bit of the headlining and fitted an extension speaker (black grill in the centre by the interior light)

Thats where I'll be squeezing mine,did you run power up the pillar or go of the light?

Fresh power up the pillar from my aux fuse box to avoid interference. Really short coax run too as the aerial is body mounted to the roof above interior light

exactly where mine is but i have no roof liner so no trimming as sduch lol

Not for Laning but for ****ing off truck drivers and Knobs playing music yep!! No side effects to you. But if someone is within a hundred yards or so you'll fry their Cb if it hasn't got an attenuator that automatically cuts you off when you key the Mike

****! Not good to forget to turn it off when youre out laning then!

Was just thinking about getting one for long range transmission when laning, might help if i got in the **** one time.

The problem of course is that you cant hear anyone talking back if they arent burning aswell

I have used it to find another group when out laning. But they had to fone me cause they didn't have the power to reach me.

For getting ya self heard when in the **** and really desperate Ham Radio is the way to go. getting ya basic license is a piece of ****. there is a whole host of repeater stations that will pick up ya transmission and amplify it before retransmitting it. You just need to be able to cope with a boring bunch of old farts nattering away about ****e all day & Night.
