dash lights stay on ???

hi just bought a yr 2000 p38 DT and driven home to find cant turn off dash lights!
the dash and console lights stay on with key out,
If you turn the key on the lights go out
If you press the fuel open flap button and hold it down the lights go out(the flap doesnt open though!)
If you turn the light switch to park position they go out (but obv the park light stay on)
and the radio lost its code on collection this afternoon,but works now its re-entered

any help would be welcome , cheers,john

could be a becm or a earth or wring issue have the ecu fault read first also check the charge rate of the alternator and have the battery drop tested

ps do you have a probable diagnosis for the abs light staying on until vehicle driven over 5mph ? am i lookin at another wallett bashin
