dash help

hi anyone help ive a s reg freelander ive just put lights etc off a 53 reg td4 ad to mod bits and bobs looks mint but weve dash and clocks out of td4 just wondering if anyone as ever put different dash in coz the clocks in 53 reg are digital milage please can anyone help james

dont the mileage meter synch to ya ECU?

never changed my dash and clocks but its an interesting idea.

oh - and does anyone know if landrover ever did a black dash for 2001 year?? i hate the beige one in mine!

you have to be careful with this. The dash instruments in the earlier models used information direct from the sensors, but the later versions, and I think 2003 was the break year, use the can-bus system and rely on a data stream from the ecu.

I think it was clutchdust who first told me of this, do a search from about 2 years ago and you should find the info.

the dash out of the 53 reg sits higher then the s reg im new to the 4x4 game but the s reg looks mint face lifted had to do minor changes its the dash whats the worrying bit to me could anyone tell me what a v reg petrol is worth with no tax or test thanks

it would depend on how much petrol is in the tank. If it's full, maybe as much as £20, falling to £0 if it is empty
