I've got one and it works hard, been in 2 years and all is well, it's now paid for itself so if it fails now I'm happy enough to replace,I am Off Road almost every week for 6-8 hours at a time plus doing plenty of Road work and its still going strong, you pays your money and take your chances, but how many here slagging off the britPart clutches actually have or have had one?

Not me :D

I wouldnt put one in mine, im not that brave.

What are your choices out there DP? can you get a Borg and Beck or a Valeo?

Ive no doubt that the genuine stuff is better than the pattern crap but i just dont want to feed the monster.

Also, the only BP choice for a TD5 is a heavy duty clutch which does away with the dual mass.

I had mine fitted not long after buying the disco so it was few years ago and i didnt know about any other parts suppliers out here then, didnt have the time or inclination do do it myself as it was winter and as im sure you know it does get nippy here in the winter, so didnt want to order from a uk supplier and then do it alone.
so i went with britpart HD and it has worked fine, it gets abused regularly im always the one pulling other folk out and price wise it was cheap at the time compared to buying from the uk paying shipping and then finding somewhere to do it or do it for me, i wouldnt choose other britpart stuff, in fact i actively avoid it but i have to say the clutch has up to now been absolutely perfect and if it fails next week i feel i have had my money's worth out of it so i wouldnt cry about replacing it, would i go for the same again? probably not as i now have a great local supplier who will get me whatever i want at a reasonable price but for what it is worth i think it has performed perfectly regardless of price.

hmm bp sell valeo dmf and clucth kit there the ones i use

I'm going for an AP clutch kit, would be nice to know who supplies the clutches to Britpart.

My guess (and its only a guess) is that Britpart use recon clutches and that if you get a quality brand that's been reconditioned then it'll be fine. If you get a crap brand that has been reconditioned then it will probably fail.

Does that sound logical:)

Thanks for that:)

I assume 200 and 300 both fit, they look the same anyway.

Going to order tomorrow when I've made my mind up:)

I will only use ****part stuff if I am stuck to finish the job and can not get any other.
I have had problems with several of the "players" in the after market supply, I would only fit an AP or OE clutch. Just to much work to do again, most likely to fail when its minus 5 degrees and in a foot of snow.

Well,,,,,,, going to order one tonight

Still not made my mind up, is AP still AP or has some one bought it, have AP bought Borg and Beck etc etc:)
