Daft McDonalds advert

Just to check i'm not going daft...

Just seen a new advert for McD's where they reckon a quid is a 'bob', now here's me always thought a bob was 5p and so ten bob makes 50p.

Is it just McD's that are idiots (wouldn't surprise me) or is there some sort of regional divide to the value of a bob?

Might just be the fact that i'm in a pedantic mood tonight and have just been ripping the italian job to bits - like the part where he's having trouble with the diff on a mini whilst working under the rear of it, or when you hear the engine of charlies jag rev up as it's pushed off the edge of the cliff by the mafia... :doh:

Thought so...

Just remembered another glarer from the italian job - how about the two FIAT transporters used to block the road, did anyone else notice one was right hand drive??? pure cinematic brilliance!

in the film ben hur,there is a scene in the chariot race where a ferrari can be spotted in the coloseum.and in another scene there is a roman soldier with a wrist watch on .:doh::doh:

to say nothing of the mini's going across the weir. does no-one remember how well the mini liked it's low down distributor at the front behind the rad getting a soaking, and then shuddering to a halt ?

just as well it wasn't freelanders, the doors would have fallen off !

best result I had was using a marigold with a cable tie.

(hmmnm just read that back, and it could be taken out of context...)

what about when they go off the cliff the white one is red inside as it drops

and in the tunnel one mini has four spots (like the police)

ps did anyone see the water leaking on the winndscreen in the tunnel these were new cars

err yes.on my mini i just used a plastic bag wrapped round the dizzy.worked well for me.

This is because McDonalds, like all large corporations and, particularly UK based large corporations...............are run by (and employ) f*cking uneducated, moronic yoofs who know f*ck all about our past and care even f*cking less!!

If ever there was public evidence of a successfully 'dumbed' down society, that ad is it.
