D4 Day time running lights

Evening.
I have got some Ring day time running lights that i would like to put on my D4, where is the best place to pick up an ignition live under the bonnet.

Next question is, if i fit some led spot lights on, can i tap into the hi beam feed to power them with on hi beam.

You can tap into the hlamp feed, but only to trigger a relay and not to power the extra lights directly.

As later d4 have drl, I would guess the feed is already there somewhere, might even be unused at the hlamp plug itself?

what year is ur D4 please as can look into that further for u ref the drls

ref spot lights u can get genuine looms or make up ur own, hope this link may be useful to u , I’ll also dig out some more info for u
