D3 electric handbrake

Hi, I’m getting use to LANDROVER ownership quickly, 4 weeks in and my handbrake won’t release.

It’s making a screeching noise, Ive pulled the emergency cable and it still locked on. It’s stuck on a main road on a Sunday, was only dropping kids off now I can’t move the thing.

What can I do to get the car moved. I’m up a certain creak with no paddles.

Any help would be great

Apparently you need a lever through the eye of the cable so you can pull with two hands?

I would of said I’ve pulled it hard enough as it was really tight then let go and moved about 2-3 inches, now it won’t move any more. Handbrake still locked on.
