Evening all, changed the transfer box oil earlier today & noticed two wires hanging loose with female spade connectors one black the other black with green trace, does anyone know what/if they should be connected to also should there be a cover over this wiring multi-plug ? Many thanks in advance.

I am not sure and will be corrected if i am wrong, but could be wiring to the difflock indicator, in case you fit one. Common loom and all that.
SF will tell you!
Smilies won't work., but take the smiliey as read :)

Oh and when I put it in as a colon and a bracket, it came up.
Someone's taking the p!ss!!!

The female connectors are for the tranfer box oil temperature switch which is not fitted on European/UK specs... i dont understand what you are asking about the multiplug

Ah yes forgot about diff. lock. I had a look in the Haynes book of ............ & could only find a black/green wire going to a rear door speaker ! Thanks for that. Any ideas about a possible missing cover over that block connector?

Thanks for that, the black/green has been chaffing on that bracket so I'd better tie it up. The other picture with the block connector & rusty bracket looks like it should have a cover over it, I was just wondering if that was the case, its on the drivers side.

Wish I did, but you are asking the wrong bloke, all i have ever done under mine, an auto, is change the oils and filter in the autobox. don't remember anything "hanging around".
I take it you have by now read Sierrafery's postS? Told you I'd stand corrected.

That's the ACE lower accelerometer's connector and it's exactly how it looks, nothing more
