D1 door lock

Hi, my paasenger door wont open on central locking, the pin doesn't lift or stay up far enough, i've read that this is likely to be the spring which i'll replace but also the central locking plunger doesn't seem very strong, no where near as strong as the drivers side,and lots of play in it when its open or closed, the drivers side is far stiffer to move, could this be the issue rather than the spring? cheers in advance

If the door pin lifts but then drops back a bit then is the small spring giving you the problem. When you replace the spring a spray with something like WD40 over the door linkage and the actuator will help.

Top man cheers, spring replaced off ebay for £5.50, i know some people have said thats a rip off but if i could fix all my motoring faults for £5.50 i'd be a very happy bunny indeed
