Hello,

My near side CV joint has gone and is being replaced tomorrow but I've just got a couple of questions as usual! When looking at my land rover from the front on a flat surface, the near side wheel always looks a little tilted out in one direction. This is more to do with the swivel housing isn't it? Also, is it possible that a worn CV joint can cause my landy to pull to one side more than the other?

Cheers

Dunno .. but I found that when a CV joint went, after replacing it I needed to reset the swivel pre-tension and the wheel bearings on BOTH sides, not just the one taken apart, to even steering up, so it might be worth doing the swivels, seals etc as well.

One wheel pointing out could also be the trackrod end on that side ...

Thanks for the advice! It's the garage that're doing the job. I don't expect that they'll start adjusting other bits and bobs but they've never once let me drive away until they're happy with what they've done.

Yeah, fair do's. I did mine mostly 'cos I had time and wanted to ... ;)

Yea actually have to agree, I always dreded a CV going on my mota, somewhere in the middle of nowhere off road but now its all ok since I replaced a stub axle its a piece of **** jopb to do. Jai
