I have had a look through all the threads regarding my problem and carried out most of the suggestions but I still have the same problem.
The problem is the disco has been difficult to start, sometimes it starts straight away then the next time I have to keep turning the engine over and over until it starts I have fitted a new fuel pump and changed the fuel filter but still with the same problem.I have just fitted a new air bleed valve so I am hoping this clears my starting problem. But the main problem is that after a very short time driving the engine just cuts out with no spluttering or warning and to get it going again I have to keep cranking it over until it finally starts but yesterday it cut out and it just wouldn't start I got it going after almost draining the battery I am running out of ideas what to do next.Could faulty injector seals stop a running engine instantly or would it start to cough and splutter first. I haven't been able to drive disco since fitting the air bleed valve yet but is it possible that a faulty air bleed valve could cause a engine whilst being driven to just cut out
Would appreciate any ideas
