Google

did you know that i first thought when i woke up this morning was to place a stupid question on this website.

i really didn't think of looking up google.

Google is a great thing, but if you cant find anything which i have been looking for, for a very long time.

This is why i now ask more landy wise people than me, like your self. If they have heard of such an item.

if you have heard of anything like this for Land rover defender. I would really appreciate anything you have to say.

thanks all, i was just wondering if there was an actual cuddy box for defender which was refrigirated.. ( i guess not but i will not stop looking and if i cant find one. I guess i will have to transplant one from another car )

if i find one i shall let you know...

I thought it was illegal not to sell a new car without A/C in Dubai. Ah I answered my own question I take it its not new then! Doh!

Hey there, jai_landrover

yeah your right i have bought a 1997 Landrover defender, 130 V8. I love her to bit, even if i have only seen her 3-4 times now as, i need to replace the engine, A/C, wiring loom.

And i have a major chassis problem, as the tasweel center is saying that the chassis is not correct.

The mechanic, who is dealing with this car, 2 great lad's at A2B Garage the specilize ( spelling wrong) asure me that the chassis is correct and that the sub-continent inspector DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TAKING ABOUT.

So i am in the process of scrapping back the whole chassis a 1 meter section on either side was not good enough.

then the wiring loom had a little problem as it went on fire ( ALMOST)

And the engine is F**KED so that needs replace due to cylinders running at 20% and emission at about 2000:(

But she is beautiful..great condition inside and out and lots of potential, is just need's a GOOD owner who will take care of her. and not do any silly wiring using duct tape etc.

I have many plans for her which i will place on the inter web later.

P.S. I knew i was buying a car that needed a lot of work when i bought her. i should have paid a little less. But that is life. and this car will be in my life for ever

I read on this site that 70% of defenders are still on the road and 30% are being rebuild ( i am glad to be in the 30% ) :D

what the worst that could happen, i bring the car back to the UK

Rob - nice motor. Enjoy getting it right that's half the fun. Where are you? I'm in Dubai and have a rather unfortunate landy bug x 4!! Some great off roading and camping to be had. What engine you putting in? 3.9i disco would be good straight fit option. AAA are good for landies but expensive.

Ace Hardware used to do a waeco chilled cubby box but they have seem to have stopped selling waeco. Get some ac!

Waeco and Engel both make small fridge/freezer units designed to be housed between seats. the centre space in a defender is more than sufficient for these. Speak to Simon at MPS4x4, he should be able to suggest, supply and ship what you need.

400 degrees? man that hot ;)

and cubby box would give more hits via google.
