Disco 2 Cruise switches.

hi all,

What would you say is a reasonable price for the steering wheel and dash switches for a D2?

My local salvage place has said £60+vat which seems a little steep....

Does anyone have a set for sale?

Have you seen the price of just the 2 cruise buttons?
If your getting the steering wheel switch included as well as the dash switch it seems reasonable as at least the steering switch will have the little metal bracket and screws which will cost at least a tenner you if you buy the switches 2nd hand on their own

That price is fairly typical, sometimes upto £75 for both switches and the mounting bracket for the steering column.
it hasn't changed in the 6 years since I bought a set for our td5.

Ok, fair enough, guess I was just being a stingey bugger! I shall take them up on their offer then.

The price for new switches and the metal mounting plate, the official LR kit can run out at just over 100 quid.
As has been said, the mounting plate could give you some grief if you just buy the switches from a salvage merchant.

There are many spare parts for our Land Rovers which are very reasonably priced, service and maintenance items for instance, but when it comes to "official" modifications such as switches and the like the prices go through the roof.
The official binnacle switch for my front spot lights was 35 quid or so, and that was just the switch, not the complete LR modification pack.

couldn’t agree more, was really lucky i managed to get a second hand steering wheel with all the switches and wires for £100 , then saw a D4 steering wheel that i really liked , but quickly changed my mind
