Cranks but won't start

Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can offer some advice, went to start my 2007 2.4 tdci this morning, she started for a brief couple of seconds and idle was bad. Gave a couple of revs and she evened out. Took it off the drive and it just died. It will crank and crank but won't start. I haven't tried anything yet as I have had to come to work but could anyone point me in the right direction of where to start looking?

Thanks, how would I go about checking this?

You could loosen an injector pipe and crank it over and see if you get fuel. Then if not check filter and pump. Assuming you have fuel in the tank which would be the first check,

*UPDATE*

Spoke to a LR mechanic last night and I think we have the issue as being either an air lock/ bubble in the fuel lines or a fuel injector pump issue. I am going to bleed this evening if the part arrive to do so. Anyone offer any advice on 1) how to bleed and 2) where to go if this doesn't fix the issue?
