Replaced my trailing arms and radius arms for cranked/3dg-corrected.... ...and surprise.... Articulation far worse than it was before. I had all rubber bushes, figured that if they lasted 15years, i'll replace them with LR genuine ones again. So i put cranked arms and rubber bush set. Normally springs were quite seriously dislocated at max articulation. After replacement - not even coming out of sockets. What may be the fault? Rubber bushes that stiff? Kinda hard to believe, but cant find any other reason why the heck the axles won't come down any further... would polybushes do much difference?

they are ****e m8, seen on em on a couple of forums where lads have had them snap at the welds. and thats before they have been abused, if ya buy em , get em sent to a decent engineering firm to be rewelded properly then get them ndt tested, but personally i would spend the extra and get some decent ones:rolleyes:

Thanks :) So which ones would be the decent? X-arm - I don't want, Not doing any extreme competition stuff. Just want a bit more articulation, and toughness. I got adrenalin4x4 at the moment. Very solid and tough but axle mount welded centrally - and stops the axle from articulating at all. Spent all day on google trying to find something decent - seems like there are not many options :( Any suggestions?

Just wrote that i don't want X-arms, well even if i would they wont have anything in stock for another 2 weeks at least. Just phoned them. And also - what will happen when they bankrupt (like Scorpion did)? Bush goes dead - no replacemets avialable. I'd rather stick to genuine LR idea instead of ball joint. So any other than than X-eng?

Oh come on.. wth was that :) I said - I dont need extreme stuff, and firms like X-something like to go bankrupt, event decent ones, what will I do then when my hardmadafaka ball joint/bush will wear down? Or in the middle of africa on my LR trip? I need heavy duty long term stuff mate.

i'm sorry, i thought you knew what you were talking about, clearly i am wrong -
please carry on buying stuff from adrenalin4x4, that most highly respected company

well in the current economic climate there is no company going to be exempt from folding, i don't know what to suggest apart from cancelling any trip until the world markets have stabilized.

Adrenalin's arms seemed strong, and well made, and they really are, apart from crappy design of the axle mount, what I realized after. But don't tell me that X-eng is the only decent firm that makes aftermarket trailing arms...

You wont get any better than x-eng. Worth the wait. Look after em and re-grease regular.

Buy Cheap Buy Twice, cant see them going bust, however flo-flex will make u any bush any size any grade

......... but they might go bust

So what you're basically saying, X-arm is best, any other type is ****e? I'm not after cheap stuff but - will gladly pay more but Im not after 2 seasons competition set either.

Nope.

I think i said you "wont get any better than x-eng" and buy cheap buy twice, with reference to the cheap "****e" on ebay you posted a link to earlier in the thread.

You said you wanted "articulation and toughness" in my opinion theres only 1 company that can deliver ample amounts of both these.... x-eng

If you dont want em dont buy em

I actually went to their garage today, as they promised to solve my problem. Seen all the professional metal processing equipment and tools, on the garage parking lot quite a few impressive landrovers with their stuff fitted, including challenge truck stuffed with products they make themselves. Don't know what your irony is based upon, but I can tell they do a lot of serious stuff there, very well made and designed. Really heavy duty stuff. Not mentioning them being very helpful and knowing what they do. As for my trailing arms, they just needed some bracket adjusting and proper fitting, and now they articulate all the way on my +5" shockers. All the job, they did for free, gave me some advice etc.
Now I can agree with you Sean, its really highly respected company, and with your kind advice I will carry on buying stuff from them... thanks a lot mate :D:D:D
