Series 2 Crankcase Breather

Greetings -
New series owner - basic question - we wanted to pop off the breather to give it a clean, thought it was a press fit, and did not want to break anything, it seems well attached. There is a bolt on the side of the value cover under it, does that free it? It is on a late 2a, and has the small hose to the air cleaner. Also, is it OK to spray out with carb cleaner than the reoil? Cheers!

The small nut frees it. Mine has an O ring round the stem to seal the joint. It wont pop off till the nuts loosened. I use petrol to clean and just re fit. Then curse a bit when its leaking oil again over the rocker cover within a few days........... Maybee I should try a new O ring...........

Cripes, man, a whole new o-rin? Can you ear yourself?
