Crank and rods

Can anyone tell me what the crank and rods are made from in a 3.9 v8 (RRC)

I am guessing forged crank and cast rods, or is that to good for Land Rover?
(forged crank I mean)

Forged crank and forged steel con rods.
Forged steel is used in order that the grain flow of the material adds strength to high stress areas.

Forged crank and rods- very posh!

I have been looking at the 6.2 GM diesels and they have cast crank and rods apparently, how cheap and nasty!

Are they cast steel or cast iron??
Can just imagine the state of cast iron big end journals after a bit of ****e floating round has been on them!!
