Take the turbo boost sensor out of the inlet manufold and clean all the **** off it, then order a EGR bypass kit...

is it worth getting the EGR kit and how much does it cost?

One of the first jobs you should do when you get a disco

available off ebay for £4 or £7 with gasket & 2 longer bolts - 20 minute job to do

try hereLandrover Discovery 2 TD5 EGR Blanking Plate Full Kit on eBay, Land Rover, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 140154982636 end time 10-Sep-07 16:41:24 BST)

see this thread for a great description of how to..http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/td...itting-my-tips-41368.html?highlight=egr+plate

That's the one I've got on mine, be prepared for a shock when you see the amount of ****e inside your inlet manufold when you take the ERG off. I took mine off and cleaned it out with a steam cleaner.

Soak the allen pins on the exhaust manufold well with WD40 or similar first, I still managed to break one though...

i found it. it was full of oil and crap i gave it a good clean i just need to go for a test drive to see how it go's thanks for your help.i must get a egr kit.

That black gunk all over the sensor will be inside your manufold, blocking the airway. It's a common problem that the EGR causes, ask CharlesY, he'll tell you the same. Best to get rid...
