Cracked servo

Hi ppl am after some advise regarding a 300tdi defender servo
After having my brakes deteriorate over the last 6 months finally got round to looking up what may be the problem . Which turned out to be a crack in the servo , so ordered up a replacement TRW servo,,
Anyhow said servo delivered today and when I get it out the box and unwrap it from the bubble wrap it makes a clocking / knocking noise from inside
Question is , is this normal .. as I'm still driving about on the old n one till Saturday just wanted to check that's normal before I start stripping it all apart ,, other than the knock from inside when shaken from side to side it looks mint , box intact and doesn't look like its been dropped .
Just wanted to check if that's normal before I go wading into the supplier

Hi keith,
Replaced mine a year or two ago and never noticed a rattle. Mind you, I wasn't looking for one. To be cautious, I would inform the supplier and ask them what they want you to do. You could always say you are happy to fit it, so long as they will accept the return if it doesn't work.
