courier recommendations

anyone recommend a courier that can collect 5 wheels with tyres that I've bought from yorkshire and can transport to me in suffolk?

paisley freight used to do deals on wheels... only problem is that wheels+tyres=heavy

sometimes cheaper to stick them on a pallet for about 40 quid, safer too!

failing that, Cheap Parcel Delivery From Interparcel you'll need to book them as 5 individual packets, you can have up to 25kg each packet for 7.95 +vat with either city link or UPS, still, including the vat it'll cost you 50 quid.

Still cheaper than driving up there.



But not as fun.

I used wheelcourier.com (I think) for my wheels from Southampton to Norfolk....

I use local transport companies for my business, they have agreements with all the other companies up and down the country, search for transport companies in Yorkshire and you will no doubt find some good prices.

The big boys are fine if you have an account otherwise you will pay Rate 1 which is the highest price; before I set up my TNT account (don't use them much now, they never turn up to collect things) they quoted me £115, once the account became active they re-quoted and it was £9 or something.

I just had an axle moved 300 miles for £60.

Another option is Interparcel, they are a handler for all the big companies, they have loads of services and display all the options to you. I used to use them years ago when I was constantly buying and selling LR parts! They get good rates as well.

Pallet is a good idea, 30-50 depending on how far it's all going.

Other side of the county mate! I am near to Thetford...... But it ain't a million miles so it could be a plan to meet.

Thetford aint bad, I go there often. less than 2 hours. I am up for a get togethet if you are.... will pm you.
