cost of fitting new enginines

Hi guys I bought a D reg 110 about a week ago, its allready died on me , not had it looked at yet but allready thinkin of getting a new engine. Can anyone give me a rough estimate as to how much it would be to buy and fit a new engine (200 TDI)

I quite fancy one o' them Cummins B series jobbies out of Dodge Ram - early ones use some common bits with Tdi landy engines and apparently getting in the region of 500hp and 500lbft of torque out of 'em int exactly rocket science

so yu mite be here longer than 1.5 days then, next week?

Nah - nothing wrong with mine to warrant an engine replacement... yet. When I do blow it up then I'll see about one of the cummins lumps

Yeah, you wont get better than a Cummins engine! Damn fine Turbos on them too! (maybe a slightly biased opinion, working for Cummins Turbo Technologies and all...)

But yeah, ive driven the diesel Dodge Ram and fuck me, its rapid! We were testing one with a new two-stage turbo, which bumped the torque up to 750lbs/ft and 325bhp!
