Hi All,

The truck is starting to suffer a little from landroveritis and is looking a bit tatty here and there... What's the best way to tart it up a bit?

I've attached a couple of pics of problem areas which I'm wanting to tidy up - advice on paints, techniques, prevention, replacements etc are most appreciated.

I've got a sand blasting gun, spray gun, compressor etc and want to do a proper job to keep her looking good for a long as possible.

Haha, nice! Mine's on a 52 plate so want it to look as good as that in 20 years, so time to start looking after it I guess!

different engine in it obv i would of thought haha i wouldnt of made it from cheq tho or flushed it in abit more

o back to thread i would clean it up properly with a decent key on the surface, on stuff like the light bar, winch bumper, and rock sliders take them off clean them up and do as i said above then repaint them completly with 2 or 3 layers of hammerite as it will stand up 2 most and give protection if u clean it underneath with a wire brush degrease with a paint on degreaser and wash it properly let it dry then put the hammerite on tho so the surface is properly prepared

Looking at your pictures mate...........

All the parts that look 'scruffy' are steel so its easy enough to sort out. Its best to rub the rusty bits down mask up or remove the parts, prime with a red oxide and spray in satin black, this will return um to how they looked when they were new.

The body work parts you could remove, sandblast or rub down then prime and paint in body colour.

Just use a good quality primer and paint and degrease and prep properly and you should achieve a good finish........
