Hello all, Got a quesetion ref my General Grabbers TR M+S/LT 235/85R16
I'm trying find the correct tyre pressure front and rear for normal road conditions. Sitting on top is the Def 90 3.5V8 on a 2"lift.. Many thanks in advance also have we any olds threads ref advice/guidance for a heater matrix clean-flush?
cheers Scrump

there is no "correct" air pressure, as soon as you step away from the manufacturers standard tyres.

Some people will say inflate until the bulge dissappears, then deflate slightly so the bulge reappears a little bit, then match all round.

Personally, I run mine at 50psi all round

1) why do yu want to flush your heater?
either use a proprietory flush (Wynnes)
back flush it using a hosepipe
use dishwasher liquid.

2) tyre pressures - draw a chalk line across the tyre width - drive 100 yds on dry tarmac - check line - if its only on outside of tyres then pressure is too high - if its only on centre of tyre - pressure is too low - repeat until you are happy, front and rear.

Radiator flushing can be done well using that white powder stuff she puts in the whirly machine that washes your dirty clothes.

Don't use the tablets or powder for the dishwasher as it will attack aluminium parts.

Fairy Liquid and so on are too frothy. the stuff for washing machines doesn't froth.

That makes it easier to rinse out, and it is much more effective at lifting out the crap. .

I found all this out when I had my repairs garage. A local DIY gent decided to change the oil in his daughter's Mini and save my charges. He also decided to do the antifreeze.
He drained the oil and water quite successfully.

He filled the radiator to the top with Duckhams 20-50 engine oil, and filled the engine and gearbox flush to the oil filler cap on the rocker cover with a 1-3 mix of water and anti-freeze.

I sorted it, and the engine came to no harm!

Dont use the powder - it can clog waterways - only use liquid - and dishwasher liquid is fine - if its only used for a couple of days - because it IS caustic. It will find any weak spot.

as above, depends on load, etc

my grabber AT2's on my 110; currently 38F 46R. loaded 40F 48R doesn't sound much difference but with my shocks/suspension set-up, the ride is right.
