coolant leak

Coolant leak, My car leaked coolant 2 weeks ago due to the hose popping off, this prt was replaced only to find that a few days later coolant was still leaking slowly, we filled up and the problem seemed to have rectified, until now! At the traffic lights heard a pop, AA came out..... Expansion tank split!!! Is it possible thereis further damage than just this as the initial problem seemed to be fixed?

It's not sounding good. It sounds like your coolant system is overpressurising. It's quite possible that your headgasket has gone.

What landy is it? A 1.8 K series petrol freelander?

Top hose bottom hose ?
Hose popped off expansion tank popped.Could that mean there's a build up of pressure somewhere?..a blockage perhaps?

Its a 4.4 vogue, petrol, they are now saying they think its the head gasket, it was the top hose that was replaced, quoted me 1k at least just for labour! its not even a LR garage!
