Whilst fixing a water leak the other day I managed to break the plastic coolant that runs from the expansion tank to to the Throttle body.

Having been to Land Rover I have got the replacment part but it doesn't look like it will fit the Thor V8 on the GEMS, and a quick check on Island 4x4 lists the part number I have up to 98 only.

Chatting with the local dealer they say the same part number was is listed for all engines.

Does anyone know the part number of the Expansion tank to Throttle body coolant hose.

I would just bypass it... all it will do is make your intake charge hotter and reduce power. No need for TB anti-icing in this country...

Yes I did consider that but ideally I would still need to connect the output from the top of the engine to the expansion tank.

Unfortunatley because of where the pipe has broke I would still need to replace it, and the replacement one is moudled in a different shape to the original one so will not fit even to bypass the throttle heater.

I done the same thing mate. All I done was get some coolent hose the correct diameter to go over the original plastic pipe and clipped it both ends.

Clarky unfortunately not as it is quite small so some micro bore may be the right diameter, however the plastic pipe for me has broken wherenit goes around the oil filler.

I just replaced with a good quality normal rubber hose. No issues at all.

If the plastic pipe breaks, chances it's gone brittle with heat and age. Best to replace the entire length.

Agreed in fact I have changed the hose from top of the radiator to expansion tank as a pre-caution.

A bit of research suggests part pch115700 the correct part and fingers crossed I have one on it's way to me.

Please let me know how you get on finding this part because I want one too.
Thanks

Yes part I ordered turned up yesterday and unfortunately despite not advertising on their website they ship PCH000330 and not PCH115700.

I am either going to replace it with a run of silicone hose, or look around motorsport suppliers to see if I can make up a hardline myself.

I was Talking to britpart today. They say the PCH000330 is the replacement part for PCH115700?
I brought it anyway, but did explain that I would Proberly be taking it back tomorrow.
It seems this part does not exist for the Thor engine.

Yes Land Rover say that pch000330 is the replacement part but can't see how it will fit, let us know if you have any success
