Seeing as we all seem to have half decent kit in our tool boxes, I thouht it might be handy to share some of the better / more innovative stuff weve came across, for example:

Facom make a ratchet called the rotator which as well as working as a normal ratchet, id you twist the handle like a screw driver it also rotates the socket, best part is is you twist it in eithr direction it's always rotating the socket in the "driven" direction, here's a little video on youtube:

Widely available, can be had in 1/4" or 3/8" & 1/2" sizes, slightly pricey, but it is Facom, lifetime guarantee etc, and invaluable in tight spaces.

We used to keep our tools cool in Saudi by chucking the in a bucket of water, otherwise you couldn't pick them up they'd be too hot.

One for y'all tra''er boyz - low profile welding goggles for when you cannae get a full weldng mask between the axle and the arches as you are welding up inner wings. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273079577448 Also useful to discovery and RRC owners.

They are actually flipping good, just remember to go back to the full face shield as soon as your finished welding the awkward bits, lest you end up with the uv light in the arc burning half your face off. Don't ask me kow I know about this, or about the scars on my forehead.

They are indeed quite good. I have used them before.
But as we have a galvanised chassis, I am hopeful it will outlive me, and I will never need to weld again! :)
