Disco 1 Confused with the brakes should it not leak all out

I am working on a 94 discovery I noticed when moving it in the yard it was pulling to one side when braking so thought seized calliper when I went to have a look I noticed the brake pipe from the cylinder was not connected at all to the hose and no fluid at all leaking only recently purchased and doing up attached the hose and tryed bleeding nothing coming to calliper at all even with air pressure could it be the brake reducer cylinder ? Yours is at a change over point, from 89to 94 you should have four pot callipers on the front with two pipes and two pot on the rear with one pipe,
Also a break reducing valve for the rear, the later 94 on is likely to have ABS and only one pipe going to each calliper
Would be helpful to give this information, also I’m assuming as she is pulling to one side we are talking about a front calliper not connected?

Thanks for the reply it wasnt screwed in to the flex hose it has two inserts for brake lines but ones been blocked cnt get any fluid at all to the calliper even with the easibleed and foot press but the pedal has good pressure with hose off like it blocked ?

Need more information, Are you talking about front calliper? Is there two flexible pipes going to the front Calliper? Or just one?
Do you have ABS? Is yours a 200tdi V8 or 300tdi? And specifically what pipe appears to be blocked?

Sorry yea its driver front it only has one flex pipe it’s a 300tdi non abs the brake pipe from the master cylinder that’s join on the flex was not attached to the flex pipe and no fluid was coming out with engine on and when I moved it and used the brakes before I noticed it I attached it tried bleeding nothing even with easy bleed it like their was pressure stoping the fluid from passing thanks for reply’s wil get pictures the Mara

I would check from the master cylinder metal pipe down to the flexible pipe on the drivers side and see
If it’s crushed, if not damaged unscrew metal pipe from flexible union under wheel arc and see if you can get fluid to flow, if you can then your flexible pipe is probably blocked,

Just checked the pipe actually runs the whole way over to the break reducer

Iirc some leyland products had a shuttle set up so in the event of a pipe/hose failure the shuttle went one way shutting off the offending side/wheel, strip and reset required.
Not done one myself but can recall they had two wires so when activated they put on the brake light?

Should add I think only 200 and poss only ealry 200 discos had the twin pipes to the front callipers.

You are right about the 200tdi having twin pipes to the callipers, but that looks suspiciously like a brake compensator valve for the rear brakes, the fronts should feed to the valve then the master cylinder and the rear brake pipe goes to the compensator to reduce pressure under heavy braking to stop locking the rear brakes,
The valve should be ANR3194.

It definitely not the original calliper it’s brand new was fitted to vehicle when purchased dnt know much about it a man was restoring / doing it up and then passed away and lay up for 9 years before I got just trying work my way round it get it on the road I have a spare reducer value on a doner vehicle might change it over and try bleed again thanks for ur reply’s
