I ordered New Drop Links from All makes 4x4 for my 2003 Freelander Serengeti and they have sent me copy of RBM100172 but are these the correct Drop Links for my Vehicle because I looked in the Rimmer cataloque and they have two different numbers RBM 100172 and RBM 100262.
When I went to remove the Drop Link from my Freelander the top nut is 15mm and the bottom 19mm but I thought the top should be 17mm.
I"m confused.
By the way I didn"t complete the job because I didn"t have a 15mm box spanner.

Nut sizes vary all the time with drop links. Some manufacturers fit smaller nuts, presumably to save a few cents on them. As long as the threads are the same diameter and the links are the same length, then nut size is of no real consequence. I have found that cheap drop links fail very quickly (like months). So I now only buy quality replacements by Delphi, Lemförder or Meyle and avoid Britpart, Bearmach and no name EBay types.

Thanks for that. Going out now to buy a 15mm box spanner and hopefully if the rain stays away I should be able to get them fitted pm today.
