Disco 2 Condensation inside headlight lens

I sort of doubt they'd bother pulling you for HID's, unless they are a stupid colour like 10/12k, I was running 6k in my old one, much better than "LED" bulbs.
And this new MOT thing sounds like lots of fun.. with my egr delete, decat etc... think some cheating will be needed o_O
The main problem with any modification to the headlights isn't to do with the colour temperature, or even the brightness but it's all to do with the beam pattern which is calibrated by the reflector shape and the lens fluting for a light source in a particular position. Neither LEDs or HID light sources are positioned to the close tolerances necessary.
In order to use either LEDs or HIDs properly, the entire headlight unit must be replaced for the correct type for the light source, not to mention some other legalities which might come into play such as self levelling suspension, headlight washers and the dipped beam remaining on with the main beam rather than being either/or.

I took the four caps off at the back and also the three grommets and then just blew warm air through from a hair dryer for 10 minutes - quite easy; all the misting and water droplets are now gone from the inside of the lens. However, as anyone who washes a car knows, when normal water evaporates it will leave dissolved salts behind as a watermark. I was wondering if I could/should pour some IPA (iso propyl alcohol) in through one of the holes that was covered with a grommet, swish it around and then let it evaporate and remove the watermarks, otherwise I wanted to know how to remove the lens and give it a clean on the inside?

Anyway, for now the water/condensation issue is resolved.

Mine just passed mot with egr delete and cat removed. The only way to tell if car came from factory fitted with a cat is by the vin number, ref rave manual.
Just before the mot I refitted just the flexi pipe to valve body with a thin blank between cooler output and flexi pipe. With engine cover fitted it looks standard.
See attached photos.
