compression hosetails as used on the 300tdi fuel lines - where from?

Ive not taken a line apart, but, im guessing, that the compression fittings on the end of all the 300tdi fuel lines have a hosetail in the nylon pipe.

On my international engines 2.8 (in the 101) i used standard compression fittings, and brass inserts, in clear nylon pipe (makes spotting air leaks easier) but, as ive gone and put standard nuts / olives on my new lift pump today, id rather buy the stock fittings to match them.

So -

Does anyone know where i can buy just the female compression / hosetail fitting?

I wondered if buying short lengths of britpart fuel line and taking them apart would work, but, from what i can tell, all the part numbers come back "fully obsolete"

olive and nut normally goes on the unit not the fuel line it has the male fitting which line is shrunk over, you want a m12 x 1mm male hosetail perhaps

This is an approximation of the part that i was after -

...basically, i thought id make up new lines, to couple to the nuts / olives that (i assume, but have not looked) will be on the sender unit in the back, and also on the lift pump at the front.

My other option would be to cut off the existing fittings, and use standard DZR plumbing fittings of a sensible size - but, if i could just buy the stock ones easy enough, id buy some nylon line to match, and itlld be job-done.

thats what i was thinking of ,in the past ive usually just stripped them out of old lines and never needed to buy new,are they not available in m12 x 1mm for 8mm hose, if not i could ask a lr breaker friend of mine

When you've re-used them from old lines, have you found that there is enough of a tail to get a clip around?

I dont want to use rubber based lines, as i run on bio, so id soften up some nylon tube, work it over the barb, and then use a jubilee or, if im feeling flush, a t-nut (or whatever they're called)

...but the stock lines don't look (and i don't have one in front off me at the moment) to have that much of a tail / barb to the fitting - i reckon less than 10mm?

I guess that i can cut up the old lines for parts, but im just loath to do that before im sure its going to work!

Thank you.

M12 to 8mm compression fittings / stud coupling are available cheaply.

Nut and olive onto nylon air line is much much easier than trying to work nylon pipe over a hose barb and very secure.
