Hi all,

i'm thinking of getting into the lifestyle that comes with Landrover ownership (worryingly!)

Basically i'm in the market for a change of vehicle and something is drawing me to 4x4s and there really is only one name that comes to mind when thinking 4x4. I enjoy walking and camping and want something that will help my hobbies and yet be comfortable to drive - this has led me toward an older range rover 2.5 diesel etc.

My main concern is I really don't have a great deal of mechanical experience with cars and this seems to be a problem when you start talking about land rovers!! so perhaps if someone is in the Norfolk area and is happy to have an eager new comer to teach then i'd be a happy student (I make a decent cup of tea :D)

but anyway - Hi all hope to get some good advice and get to know some of you

Ah its all in good fun bit of banter doesn't hurt anyone
Oh, you'd be surprised at the pasty faced softies that show up here and whine about how mean we are. And then there is a sanctimonious member or two here that then chastise us again for being barbarians and it causes disharmony.

Buddha counseled the avoidance of disharmony, but we don't really care.

:welcome2:

ah i'll generally just give as good as i get, much more fun than expecting everyone to mind their ps and qs etc...

but what are peoples opinions on a P38 2.5 diesel... i'm sure it's a mixed view and yes before someone says it I am aware there's a search function but that's not really the best way to have a conversation is it :p

1996 LAND ROVER RANGEROVER 2.5 DT GREEN | eBay

what are peoples thoughts on this? it's quite close to me, looks perfect for what I want and it's in my price range...just that mileage is a concern to me... is it a justified concern?

If you post up your location 'Roughly' you might just get someone who knows what they're looking at, who will come and have a look with you if you bribe them with chips. Incase you didn't know, chips are actually used as currency round here;);););)
