As in the title really. Ive spent all weekend getting my new series up and running and as i cleared the garage out i realised that my other series 2/3 is in super nick so i thought about changing the suspension for coils. This is for more travel obviously. Some peeps on here must have done this, so any advice pleas. Good or bad. It already has parabolic springs with a small lift and pro comp shocks, but i got grounded last time out so i threw it in the garage ( in a hissy fit) and thats where it has stayed.
So am i wasting my time!!:)

Trouble is i like the older looking series!!. So basically im wasting my time i presume. I did think about buying a 90 but everybody has one:(, hence why i thought of coiling it. So at the mo i have two series 2/3 v8's. I suppose i might as well flog one and get a 90 then, anyone want a super nick 68 v8 with loads and loads of bits £1500. Huge spec list:D

Don't forget that modifying the chassis (to fit coils) will likely require a SVA test (which a standard landy is probably not going to pass) and a Q plate.

Hadnt thought of that:rolleyes:. I knew a chassis change required one but does a suspension change. I thought they did it on a point system where you had to get 8 points to be clear of any test

Well im gonna put an addy up tomorrow, it is,

Remote oil filter and head
2 xSU's
Electric fuel pump
A bar with twin lights
Repainted in and out
Waxoyled umderneath
New brakes, cylinders etc
2" lift kit
Parabolic springs
Pro comp shocks
Springs all polybushed
Custom exhaust routed above chassis Cherry bomb silencer (sounds great)
Steel 8 spokes
Goodyear Wrangler mt/r 265/75/16 all with good tread
Black chequer plate on wing tops
rear cage
Rear adjustable tow bar
Completely rewired
Custom dash with fuses on dash front
Recaro seats (not immaculate:))
Comes with complete disconnected lpg kit, tank, pup, lines etc. All removed except wiring which is still in
Klaxon horn
Probably more. I'll make a list and a proper ad in the next few days. Its a super little machine. Has LT95 box with viscous difflock but i dont know if this or the low drive works.Anyway 1500 seems a good deal to me:D
For another 500 it can have mach 5's and as new mud tyres

You can change the chassis as long as it's a new one and it's like for like and you don't change anything else.

oh well, but it does drive well tho, im surprised how good it is across the not too horrendous stuff:).
