Coil springs or not coil springs

I still think it's important to weigh up both sides before making an informed decision. Most vehicles from fiestas to defenders don't seem to struggle without airbags. It just depends on what you want and which you'll enjoy more

The P38 has certain design features built into the EAS. Fitting coils remove those features making the vehicle less safe to drive in certain situations. Fitting coils to a P38 means it falls out of it's certificate of compliance conditions. No P38 was ever fitted with coil springs.

Mine came on coils so I don't know any different I love it as it is but I am told the ride is better on bags?
The three insurers I contacted had no issues with it being on coils, I made a point of explaining the EASD wasn't working so Coil springs had been fitted
Same here. Ignorance is bliss.

Well I have decided to stick with the air springs so will have fingers crossed that it is just the compressor hope so I have just payed for it so now it's just a case of waiting and seeing

The compressor is easy to test for function and output. And relatively easy to refurbish providing the electrics are sound. You say in another thread that the compressor was seized and you freed it off. It would be interesting to know where it was seized.
