Cobra seats

Hi looking for some info:

I run a 1997 disco 3 door and the drivers seat has seen better days. I am thinking of fitting cobra clubman seats into it. Just wondering if anyone out there has any knowledge of cobra subframe's and which one to use?? Is the a dedicated one?? Is it a simple job??

make your own i did..

used original d1 sub frame with a mount fastened to top of it bolting chair through, think its made from 4mm plate

i dont unfortunately..

if the new seats have bolt holes in bottom for subframes then yeah pretty easy..take seat out of car - 4 bolts..remove seat from runners - 4 bolts...get plate mark and drill holes x 8 bolt to chair bolt to from (or visa versa whatevers easier) bolt back in car, sit and admire and be comfy

im sure that this has been done by mr noisy in his mamouth post..well worth a read

I fitted a set of 4x4 Cosworth Recaros to mine. Bolted a sheet of chequer plate to the original runners and bolted the Recaro to the plate.

The one in the photo isn't a proper Maglite mount but I've since fitted one of these.
